Hrudayaram Hostel

With the progressive change in the socio-economic fabric of the country women are leaving their homes in search of employment to big cities as well as urban and rural industrial clusters. One of the main difficulties faced by such women is the lack of safe and conveniently located accommodation. Considering this situation, the Sisters of the Sacred Heart provide more facilities to this regard. By this we aim to encourage young women to take up career options, and become economically empowered. It is important to create an environment, where parents feel safe to send their daughters to stay without fear. With this objective, a Ladies Hostel, named Hrudayaram was established in the year 2000 to provide a safe and secure stay for young girls coming to Kannur in search of job opportunities and for higher studies. At present Hrudayaram provides stay to many girls and young women.

About the Hostel

We have been trying to make the hostel the next best place to be in after home. The hostel management comprises of experienced persons who strive to provide the best atmosphere for the inmates. The warden has been trained to manage the hostel and also to handle any issues that may arise in the normal functioning. Adequate and well-trained staff take care to see that the hostel is maintained to highest of standards.

To provide opportunities to lead a healthy personal and professional life

Admission

Application forms are available at the Hostel Office Reception between 10 am to 5 pm.
